AI and Cloud Wallet

Cloud & AI Balance is the balance used by the cloud services and AI features your app relies on while it is running. It is separate from Chat Credits, which are used when you work with the Agent in project conversations.

Cloud & AI Balance is the balance used by the cloud services and AI features your app relies on while it is running. It is separate from Chat Credits, which are used when you work with the Agent in project conversations.

Use this guide to check your balances, see what is using them, add more Balance, and resolve issues caused by a low or empty Balance.

How Cloud & AI Balance works

Atoms uses two separate types of account resources. They appear in different places and pay for different work.

Resource

What it pays for

Chat Credits

Work you ask the Agent to do in project conversations, such as building or revising your app.

Cloud & AI Balance

Cloud services and AI features used by the app itself, such as saving data and files, keeping online features running, or using AI models.

Running out of Chat Credits does not use your Cloud & AI Balance, and adding Cloud & AI Balance does not add Chat Credits.

Your Cloud & AI Wallet can include:

  • Free Cloud Balance: a granted amount for eligible Cloud usage.
  • Free AI Balance: a granted amount for eligible AI usage.
  • Top-up Balance: Balance you add to the wallet. It can cover Cloud or AI usage after the relevant free Balance is used.

Atoms uses the applicable free Balance first. After that free Balance is used, the same Cloud or AI activity uses your Top-up Balance.

Open Cloud & AI

  1. Open Atoms on a desktop device.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Cloud & AI.

Some low- or empty-balance messages include a button that opens Cloud & AI directly. You can use that shortcut instead of opening Settings first.

Understand your balances and usage

Read the Top-up Balance card

The Top-up Balance card shows your current Top-up Balance and the total amount you have added over time. These values answer different questions:

  • Top-up Balance is the amount currently available to spend.
  • Total topped up is cumulative. It does not subtract what has already been used, so it may be higher than your available Balance.

Check Usage Overview

Usage Overview separates Cloud usage from AI usage. It also shows whether the recorded usage came from Top-up Balance or Free Balance, when those values are available for your account.

Total usage refreshes daily at 00:00 UTC. Free Balance values update in real time, so the figures may not change at the same moment.

Expand Project breakdown to see which projects are using Cloud or AI resources. This is the best place to start if Balance is falling faster than expected.

Add Balance

Workspace owner required: Only the workspace owner can manage top-ups, change Auto Top-up settings, or open wallet invoices. If these controls are unavailable to you, check that you are in the intended workspace and ask its owner for help.

Select Top up on the Top-up Balance card. Availability depends on your plan and the top-up mode:

  • Eligible paid plan for one-time top-up: Atoms opens the Top Up Balance dialog. The payment options shown depend on your account.
  • Free plan: Atoms explains that top-ups must be unlocked. Follow the upgrade flow before trying again. Auto Top-up is available only to Pro and Max users.

Make a one-time top-up

  1. Open the Top Up Balance dialog and select One-time Top-up.
  2. Enter the amount you want to add.
  3. Choose from the payment options currently offered for your account.
  4. Review the amount and payment details, then complete the top-up.
  5. Return to Cloud & AI and confirm that Top-up Balance shows the new available amount.

Set up Auto Top-up

  1. Open the Top Up Balance dialog and select Auto Top-up.
  2. Choose the Balance level that should trigger a top-up.
  3. Enter how much Balance should be added each time.
  4. Review any monthly limit and payment controls shown for your account.
  5. Save the setup and confirm that Auto Top-up is enabled.

After a successful one-time or automatic top-up, the refreshed amount appears as your current Top-up Balance.

Turn off Auto Top-up

Turn off Auto Top-up when you no longer want your wallet to add Balance automatically. This is separate from cancelling your Pro or Max subscription.

  1. Open Settings → Cloud & AI in the workspace whose Auto Top-up you want to turn off.
  2. Open the Auto Top-up settings for your existing setup.
  3. Select Disable.
  4. In Disable auto top-up?, review the warning. Select Disable to confirm, or Cancel to leave Auto Top-up on.
  5. Return to Cloud & AI and check the Auto Top-up settings to confirm that it is no longer enabled.

After turning it off: Monitor your Balance and top up manually when needed. Without automatic top-ups, Cloud or AI features can stop when their available Balance runs out.

If Auto Top-up is already off, no further action is needed. If an error appears or it still shows as enabled after refreshing, contact Atoms Support with the workspace and exact error. If a payment is already pending, check Transactions or contact support; do not assume disabling Auto Top-up cancelled that payment.

Set alerts and a monthly limit

If your Cloud & AI page includes balance-alert or monthly-limit controls, use them to avoid being surprised by low Balance.

  • Balance alert: choose when Atoms should warn you that Balance is running low.
  • Monthly limit: set the spending guardrail available for your account, then review the explanation shown beside the control.

Before saving a monthly limit, read the explanation beside it to see whether reaching the limit pauses Cloud & AI services or only warns you. The limit is a spending guardrail, not necessarily an instant shutoff. After saving, confirm that the new settings appear on the page. If the limit pauses service, follow the page's instructions to raise or reset the limit before retrying the affected action.

Why you are seeing a Balance message

Atoms shows Balance guidance where Cloud or AI usage may affect what you are doing. Some messages are reminders; others explain why a specific publishing action cannot continue.

Where it appears

What to do

App Viewer or Workspace

Open Cloud & AI and check the relevant free Balance and Top-up Balance. The App Viewer card can be dismissed and does not by itself stop normal building. Eligible paid users can top up; free users follow the upgrade path.

Publish

Free users may see their available balances and an upgrade action when the project uses Cloud or AI. This guidance does not by itself block Publish.

Domain settings

A Balance required message means the publishing action needs Cloud or Top-up Balance before it can continue. Open Cloud & AI, add usable Balance, then retry.

My Projects or Atoms Cloud

Use the banner, indicator, or Cloud & AI button as a shortcut to the wallet. Check usage before choosing whether to top up or upgrade.

The common next step is simple: free users upgrade when top-ups are locked, eligible paid users top up, and users who still have usable Balance can continue while monitoring usage.

View Transactions and Invoice

Transactions and Invoice open as separate views from the Cloud & AI page. They are not tabs inside Usage Overview.

View

Use it for

Usage Overview

Understanding which projects used Cloud or AI resources and which Balance paid for that usage.

Transactions

Reviewing money or Balance movements such as top-ups, credits, refunds, or adjustments. Transactions are not a detailed record of resource consumption.

Invoice

Opening the invoice records and actions available for your account and billing history.

If a top-up succeeded but the current Balance looks wrong, check Transactions first, then compare it with Usage Overview.

Fix a balance problem

A Cloud or AI feature stopped

  1. Open Settings → Cloud & AI and check Top-up Balance plus the relevant Free Cloud or Free AI Balance.
  2. Open Usage Overview and expand Project breakdown to identify the project and type of usage.
  3. If top-ups are locked, upgrade your plan. Otherwise, make a one-time top-up or set up Auto Top-up.
  4. Return to the affected project or publishing action after the Balance refreshes, then try again.

A completed top-up does not appear

Confirm that the payment completed, refresh Cloud & AI, and check Transactions for the top-up. If it still does not appear, contact Atoms Support and include the account or workspace, approximate time, amount, payment or transaction ID, and a screenshot with sensitive details removed.

Usage looks unexpected

Expand Project breakdown and compare Cloud usage with AI usage. Remember that Transactions records Balance movements, while Usage Overview records resource consumption. If you still cannot explain the usage, contact Atoms Support with the project name, the time period, and a screenshot of the relevant breakdown.

A Balance message remains after a top-up

Refresh both Cloud & AI and the affected project. Confirm that the type of Balance required by the message is now available. If the action is still blocked, contact Atoms Support with the exact message, where it appears, the project or live URL, and a screenshot.

FAQ

Can Chat Credits pay for Cloud or AI usage?

No. Chat Credits and Cloud & AI Balance pay for different work. Add or upgrade the resource named in the message you see.

Why is total topped up higher than my current Top-up Balance?

Total topped up is the cumulative amount added over time. Top-up Balance is what remains available after usage and other Balance movements.

Does every Balance message block my work?

No. Some messages provide guidance or a shortcut to the wallet. Read the message and its action: a specific Balance required interruption must be resolved before that action can continue, while other reminders may let you keep working.
