The message timeline is a searchable index of messages you sent in the current project. Open it from History, find the request you need, and jump back to that point in the chat.

Open the message timeline

  1. Open the project and go to the chat panel.
  2. Select History at the top-right of the panel.
  3. Select Messages.

What appears in Messages

The Messages view shows the total number of available messages and presents each message as a card. A card includes the date and time, a message preview, and the Jump to message action.

Scroll to browse recent requests. For a longer history, enter a distinctive word or phrase in Search messages to narrow the list.

Find and jump to a message

  1. Enter a distinctive word or phrase in Search messages.
  2. Review the matching message cards.
  3. Select Jump to message on the relevant result to return to that point in the chat.
Search for a message, then select Jump to message.

Searching or jumping to a message changes only your position in the conversation. It does not change the current project state.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find the message I need

  1. Confirm that you opened History in the correct project.
  2. Clear the search and try one distinctive word from the request.
  3. Browse the unfiltered list and compare the card date, time, and preview.
  4. If the request was sent in another project, open that project and search its Messages view.

Jump to message opens the wrong place

  1. Return to Messages and compare the result card date, time, and preview.
  2. Clear the search, run it again, and select the intended result.
  3. Close History, reopen it, and retry once.

If the problem continues, stop repeated attempts. Record the project link, date and time, browser, expected result, actual result, and a screenshot with confidential prompt content hidden. Remove sensitive text from the search phrase and never send a password, verification code, API key, or private key. Use Get Support.
