Keep your Atoms account secure, know what to do if it is compromised, and understand your rights over your data.

Your account gives access to your projects, your generated code, your connected services, and your billing. This guide covers how to protect it, what to do if you think someone else has got in, and how to close it down if you decide to leave.

If you think someone else has access — do this first

Do both of these. Do not stop after the first.

  1. Change your password, using the steps below.
  2. Tell Atoms. Email [[email protected]]. Atoms will suspend access to the affected account and help prevent further misuse.

Contact Atoms even if the password reset worked. Suspending the account is what stops someone who is already signed in, and that is not something you can do yourself.

Do not wait to gather evidence first — you can supply details afterwards.

Important: Because you are accountable for activity under your account, an unreported compromise can also mean unexpected credit consumption and real spend through the Cloud & AI wallet. Report it early to limit both the security and the financial exposure.

How to contact Atoms

For everything on this page — a compromised account, an email change, account deletion, or an appeal — email [email protected]. It is the address Atoms publishes for account and support matters, and using it consistently keeps your history in one place.

Include your registered email address and a clear description of what you need. For an appeal, add your username and the details of the content in question, such as the URL and project ID.

What to expect. Atoms replies to the email address you wrote from. For account deletion you also receive a separate confirmation email once the deletion has been processed.

If nothing arrives. Check your spam folder first, then reply to your original message rather than sending a new one, so the whole thread stays together.

Note: There is also a chat widget on the Help Center — select your avatar, choose Help center, then the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of the page. Use it if you would rather not email, but pick one route and stay with it rather than raising the same issue twice.

How you sign in

Atoms offers two ways to sign in:

  • Email and password. You set the password when you finish signing up, after opening the confirmation link Atoms emails you.
  • Continue with Google.

Passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain letters and numbers, up to a maximum of 64 characters.

Note: The GitHub, Supabase, and Stripe connections in Atoms are connectors that give the agents access to those services. They are not sign-in methods for your Atoms account.

Change your password

Password changes go through the reset flow rather than a setting inside the product.

  1. Go to the login page, enter your email address, and select Continue.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Select Send reset link.
  4. Open the email Atoms sends you and follow its link.
  5. Enter your new password, confirm it, and select Reset password.

Expected result: your password is changed and you can sign in with it.

Note: If no email arrives, check your spam folder and confirm you used the address your account is registered to.

Keep your account secure

  • You are responsible for your account and password. Keep them safe. You are accountable for everything done under your account.
  • Do not share your account. Sharing your account, or letting someone else use it, is not permitted under the Terms of Service. If you need to work with other people, invite them to your workspace instead, see Access and permissions.
  • Use a unique password. A password reused from another service is only as safe as the weakest place you have used it.
  • Review your connected services. Connectors such as GitHub, Supabase, Stripe, and Google Analytics hold real access to systems outside Atoms. Check what is connected under Settings → Connectors, and disconnect anything you no longer use.
  • Never paste credentials into chat. Passwords, access tokens, and API keys do not belong in a conversation with the agents.

Change the email on your account

Your account email is shown under Settings → Your account, but it cannot be edited there. To change it, contact [[email protected]].

Delete your account

Account deletion is handled by support rather than self-service, so that no account can be deleted by accident or by someone who should not have access.

Before you request deletion

Deletion cannot be reversed, so check these off first:

  • Cancel any active subscription and let it end. An active subscription continues to bill until it is cancelled, so downgrade to Free and wait for the billing period to finish before you request deletion. See Payments, invoices, and refunds.
  • Save anything you want to keep. Your projects, their code, and your chat history go with the account. Once it is deleted, there is no way to recover them.
  • Check you are on the right account. The request must come from the registered email address of the account you want deleted. If you have more than one, make sure it is the right one.

Request deletion

  1. Email [email protected], or use the Help Center chat, and send exactly:

I confirm the deletion of my account: [your registered email]

This wording is required to verify the request is genuine.

  1. The technical team processes the request and emails you to confirm when it is done.

Important: Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. It removes your account, your projects, and your chat history. Your personal data is then deleted or anonymized — but not unconditionally. Under the Privacy Policy, Atoms may keep some data for as long as it needs to resolve disputes, maintain security, or meet legal obligations, and data already held in backups is kept isolated until it can be safely deleted. Do not expect every trace to disappear the moment your account does. See Policy and legal.

Policy and legal

The rules in the sections below — account suspension, free credit limits, age requirements, inactive accounts, and your rights over your data — come from the Atoms Terms of Service (effective 13 January 2026) and the Privacy Policy (effective 8 September 2026). So do the account-deletion rules above.

Atoms is operated by MetaGPT LLC, a company incorporated in the United States with its principal place of business in Delaware. The Terms of Service are governed by U.S. federal law and the laws of the State of Delaware.

These rules apply to every account regardless of plan, except where a section says otherwise. The summaries here are written for readability; if anything differs from the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, those documents are the authority.

What Atoms does with your data

Atoms implements commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No internet transmission is ever completely secure, so take care over what you put into any service, including this one.

Your data is not used to train AI models. Atoms does not use your personal data, the content you create, or anything derived from them to develop, train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or machine-learning model. Running your content through a model to produce the output you asked for is inference, not training.

Your content does pass through third-party AI providers. To produce what you ask for, Atoms sends the relevant input and output to the model providers it uses. Atoms does not authorize them to use your data for their own advertising, model training, or any other purpose of their own, but their handling of it is governed by their own privacy policies, and Atoms makes no warranty about their practices. If that matters for what you are building, treat it as a reason to keep sensitive material out of your prompts.

Atoms is hosted in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your data is transferred there.

Payments are processed through Stripe. See Payments, invoices, and refunds.

For the full account of what is collected, how it is used, and who it is shared with, see the Privacy Policy.

Your rights over your data

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and information about how it is processed
  • Correct or update it
  • Delete it
  • Transfer it to a third party
  • Restrict how it is processed, or object to processing
  • Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis for processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Some of these you can exercise from your account directly. For anything you cannot, email [email protected].

Rules that can cost you access

Atoms can freeze or terminate an account, restrict service access, and cancel unused free credits where it reasonably suspects abuse. That includes:

  • Registering fraudulently, or creating accounts in bulk or in multiples
  • Exploiting defects or using technical workarounds to get around usage limits, quotas, or billing restrictions
  • Transferring or redeeming free credits by any of the above means

Free credits are provided for trial and personal use.

If your access is terminated for a material breach of the Terms of Service, you are not entitled to a refund, and Atoms may delete the materials and data associated with your account.

If your account is suspended, you will see an Account Suspension Notice when you try to use Atoms.

Note: If you disagree with an action taken against your account, you can appeal by email — see How to contact Atoms above for what to include.

Age requirements

You must be at least 13, or the minimum age required where you live, whichever is higher. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Inactive accounts

Atoms may close an account that has been inactive for over a year and is not on a paid plan. If that is going to happen, you receive an email 30 days beforehand.
