Credits and usage

Atoms uses credits to run AI tasks. Your balance can include daily or free credits, monthly plan credits, and bonus credits. The exact amounts, reset dates, and expiry terms depend on your account, plan, and how a credit was granted, so use the values and dates shown in Settings → Plans and credits or with the relevant offer.

Check your balance and renewal date

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Plans and credits, then open Plan.
  3. You'll see your current plan, remaining credits, renewal date, storage allowance, and upgrade options.

When comparing plans, use the figures shown in Pricing or at checkout.

What happens next

Daily or free credits

The daily amount and monthly allowance depend on your account and current offer. Check Settings → Plans and credits for the values shown for you.

When the displayed allowance is reached, additional free credits stop until the next reset shown in Settings → Plans and credits.

Monthly plan credits

Monthly-plan credits follow the renewal date shown in Settings. Annual-plan credits arrive in 12 monthly installments on the schedule described below.

Your allowance and reset date are the ones shown in Settings and at checkout.

Bonus credits

Eligible referrals, redemption codes, promotions, or support adjustments may grant bonus credits when shown in your account.

Use the expiry or non-expiry terms displayed with the grant. If no term is shown, contact Support before relying on a deadline.

A plan month is the monthly credit cycle for your account. It may start on a different date from the calendar month.

Annual-plan credits

Annual plans include 12 monthly credit installments: one when the annual term begins, followed by 11 monthly installments.

Your monthly credit date follows your annual subscription’s start date. If that day does not exist in a month, credits are scheduled for the last day of that month. Later months return to the original day. For example, a January 31 start date gives you a February 28 installment—or February 29 in a leap year—followed by March 31.

Credits are issued automatically, even when you are not actively using Atoms.

How Atoms uses credits

The model you choose, the amount of context in the conversation, and the task itself all affect the cost. Atoms uses free credits first, followed by plan credits and then bonus credits. You don't need to choose a credit type before starting a task.

Credits used to build in Atoms are separate from the Cloud & AI charges generated by a published app. To review those charges, open Settings → Cloud & AI. There you can see usage, transactions, the app's balance, alerts, and spending limits.

Rollover and expiration

Rollover depends on the credit type and the plan terms shown for your account. Use the expiry date displayed in Settings or with the grant, and do not assume unused credits carry over.

Free credits are limited to the current plan cycle and do not accumulate beyond the allowance shown for your account. Any rollover for plan, referral, redemption, or other bonus credits follows the current terms shown when the credits are granted.

For annual plans or after cancellation, check the paid-period and credit-expiry terms shown at checkout or in Settings. If those terms are not visible, ask the billing owner or Support before relying on a remaining balance.

If you don't have enough credits

If a task needs more credits than you have, Atoms can't continue that work. Check the balance and next reset in Settings → Plans and credits. If an eligible refresh or renewal is available, wait for the date shown there. Billing admins can upgrade under Settings → Plans and credits; workspace members without billing access should ask the workspace owner or an administrator, or contact Support.

Before upgrading, check the price, allowance, and renewal date at checkout. Upgrading your plan doesn't add money to your Cloud & AI balance.

Use fewer credits

  • Use a lower-cost model for drafts and routine changes. Save the most capable models for work that needs them.
  • Tell Atoms what result you want and which part of the project to change. Put related changes in one request.
  • Keep each conversation focused on one job. When the goal changes, start a new chat and carry over only the decisions you still need.
  • Get a small version working before you add more features.
  • Read the result or error before you retry. Sending the same request again may spend more credits without fixing the problem.

To compare models, see Choose an LLM.

Why didn't my free credits refresh?

Check the free-credit amount and next reset shown in Settings → Plans and credits. The amount and monthly allowance can vary by account or current offer; when the displayed allowance is reached, additions stop until the next reset shown there.

Do not assume a specific timezone unless the product shows one for your account. If the next reset has passed and the balance has not changed, capture the displayed balance and reset date and contact Support.

Why is my balance lower than expected?

Make sure you are signed in to the account used for the purchase. Then open Settings → Plans and credits to check the renewal date and balance. If you have billing-management access, open Payment to confirm that the charge went through. If Payment is unavailable, ask the workspace owner or an administrator to verify the charge, or contact Support.

If the payment or credit grant is still missing, contact Atoms Support through an approved channel and include only the details needed to identify the issue. Never send passwords, tokens, or full payment details.

  • your account email
  • the transaction or redemption ID
  • the date, time, and time zone
  • the amount you expected
  • the balance shown in Settings
  • a screenshot

If an annual-plan installment is missing

Check your plan and balance in Settings → Plans and credits. Your annual subscription is paid upfront, so monthly credit installments do not require another payment.

If an expected installment is missing, contact Support with your account email, annual plan, expected installment date, and a screenshot of your balance. Atoms checks previous grants and issues confirmed missing installments.

A delayed installment does not change the next scheduled credit date, so two installments may arrive less than a month apart. Each covers a separate month within your annual allowance.

FAQ

How do I get free credits?

Sign in and open the current Get Free Credits or promotions entry shown in your account. If you are on the Free plan and no offer is shown, join the Atoms Discord community for community help and current announcements; do not assume that joining alone grants credits. Complete only the eligible tasks displayed there and review the amount, expiry, and eligibility terms before participating.

Offers and reward amounts can vary by account, region, and campaign, and an offer may not always be available. Affiliate-program rewards are separate and follow the current affiliate terms; do not describe them as Atoms credits unless the approved offer explicitly says so.

Why are my credits being used so quickly?
  1. Open Settings → Plans and credits and select the details or history control shown for the affected balance. If no usage or history control is shown, note the balance before and after and continue to the Support step below.
  2. Compare recent requests for long context, repeated regeneration, large attachments, research, or multi-step work.
  3. Use one clear prompt for one verifiable outcome. Avoid unnecessary retries, and start a fresh thread or Remix after a completed milestone when old context is no longer needed.
  4. If a lighter model is available and suitable for the task, compare its displayed cost before switching.

If the usage view is unavailable or does not explain the change, capture the timeframe, affected Chat Links, balance before and after, and redacted screenshots for Support. Do not include confidential prompt content unless requested through an approved channel.

I suspect my credits were consumed abnormally. How do I check?
  1. In Settings → Plans and credits, identify whether the change affected daily or free credits, monthly plan credits, or bonus credits. For Cloud & AI charges, use Settings → Cloud & AI. If no history or usage detail is available, record the timeframe and before-and-after balances and continue to Support.
  2. Open the matching usage or transaction history view, if available, and record the timeframe, entries, chats, models, or services associated with the deduction.
  3. Compare the balance before and after the suspected event and check whether another workspace member or connected activity could explain it.
  4. If you see activity you do not recognize, stop sharing the account, secure the sign-in method, and contact Support promptly.

Provide Support with the affected balance type, timeframe and timezone, Chat Links or project links, unexpected amount, and redacted screenshots. Never send passwords, tokens, full payment details, or confidential prompt content in an unsecured channel.
