Complete Share guide with 8 FAQ accordions covering exports, permissions, social sharing, and App World
The Share menu is your distribution control center. It allows you to download your project files, manage access permissions, copy share links, or publish directly to social platforms. You'll find the Share button in the top-right corner of the interface.
How to Use It
Export
Click Export to get a complete .zip file of your Chat. The browser will automatically download a package containing all your code and assets.
Access Permissions
Control who can view your project:
- Public: Anyone with the link can view your Chat and interface. Public projects are eligible for feature showcase in App World.
- Secret: Only people with the direct link can access your project.
- Private: Only you can access and view your project.
Share to Social Platforms
Directly share your creation to X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok with pre-formatted posts and preview cards.
App Card & App World
When Chat permission is set to public, it can be posted to App World by default. On your App Card, you can customize covers, edit project titles, specify the release version, and provide project descriptions for community members.
Use Cases
- Elias wants to download his project on Atoms quickly, so he clicks Export in Share to get a zip file.
- Vivian is excited about her new app and wants to show it off, so she clicks the X (Twitter) icon to post it immediately.
- Carol wants to introduce her project in App World more interestingly, so she edited her App Card.
FAQ
Where can I download project files?
Open the Share menu and click Export. This will fetch all code files and assets associated with your current project into a downloadable .zip archive.
Can I change the public Chat to private?
Yes. Click the permission dropdown in the Share panel to switch between Public, Secret (link only), and Private at any time.
Can I share apps to App World?
Absolutely. By default, public projects are shared to App World, allowing the community to view, test, and remix your creations.
Can I share apps to other social media platforms?
Yes. You can share directly to X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok using the social icons in the Share dropdown.
What's the difference between private and public projects?
When you make your project public, you can:
- Share the conversation link with others.
- Allow others to view your interactions with Agents and project outputs.
- Showcase interesting use cases and conversation techniques.
Note: Others can only view your project content and outputs, not modify your original project.
What is App World? And how can I benefit from sharing?
App World is Atoms's platform for showcasing creator projects where you can:
- Display your work and prompt engineering skills on the homepage.
- Inspire others to learn from and build on your contributions.
- Share your projects easily using the Share button in the top-right corner.
As a contributor, you can:
- Help grow the Atoms creator community.
- Earn recognition and feedback from other users.
- Potentially receive official rewards and featured spotlights.
What should I know before sharing to App World?
Once shared, all chat history and code will be publicly accessible to community members.
- Make sure your content does not include sensitive personal information, passwords, API keys, or confidential data to avoid potential security risks.
- Ensure your content complies with all applicable laws and terms of service.
What happens to my shared version if I continue development after sharing?
When you share a version (e.g., v2.0) to App World, it captures both the app interface and the full conversation history.
If you continue developing new versions (e.g., v3.0) in the original chat thread:
- App World will still display the published v2.0 interface.
- Users can view v3.0 updates within the conversation thread.
- You can choose to release v3.0 to replace the existing v2.0 showcase version.
For isolated private development, we recommend using Remix to create a new conversation thread so your shared version remains unaffected.
