SEO Agent

Use Sarah, the SEO Specialist in Atoms, to plan and create pages designed to improve your website’s visibility in search results.

Use Sarah, the SEO Specialist in Atoms, to plan and create pages designed to improve your website’s visibility in search results.

You review and approve Sarah’s plan before she writes. Team Mode then automatically passes the approved pages to Alex, who adds them to your project. Preview and publish the result; connecting Google reporting afterward is optional.

How the SEO Agent works

The SEO workflow has four main stages:

  1. Ask Sarah for a content plan. Sarah reviews your website and proposes page titles.
  2. Review the plan. Choose the pages you want, request changes if needed, then approve the selected pages.
  3. Create and add the content. Sarah writes the approved pages. Team Mode then passes them to Alex for integration; you do not need to contact Alex separately.
  4. Preview and publish. Check every new page in App Viewer, publish the update, then optionally connect Google Search Console to measure results.

Sarah creates organic SEO content. She does not manage paid advertising, publish your website, connect Google Search Console, or guarantee search rankings or traffic.

Before you start

Before using Sarah, check that:

  • You have a web project open on desktop, with a working version and enough real content for Sarah to understand the website. Sarah is available only in supported web projects that expose the SEO Specialist role.
  • Any current Agent task has finished.
  • You know the audience, country or region, language, and topics you want to target.
  • You have enough credits. Team Mode usually uses more credits than Engineer Mode.

You do not need a custom domain to use Sarah. A published site and live custom domain are needed only if you later connect Google Search Console.

Never paste passwords, verification codes, API keys, or other credentials into Chat.

Do not include credentials or private customer data in your brief. Use placeholders for secrets and share only the minimum information Sarah needs.

Before approving or publishing, review each generated page, image, link, and call to action for secrets or personal information. Remove anything sensitive and request a revision in Chat before you continue. If you are unsure what is safe to share, contact Atoms Support.

For more information about Team Mode, see the Mode Switching Guide.

Create pages with Sarah

Choose one way to begin. If you are the project owner on desktop and see the SEO card, use the Marketing shortcut. Otherwise, start from Chat. Both routes prepare a message for Sarah; the task begins only after you send it.

Recommended: use the Marketing shortcut

The Marketing section in Overview includes an SEO card that gives you a quick way to start a task with Sarah.

If the Chat message box contains an unsent message, copy it elsewhere or send it before selecting Optimize SEO. The shortcut replaces the unsent message with a prepared request for Sarah.

  1. In the same workspace toolbar where the App Viewer is, select Overview.
  2. Find the Marketing section.
  3. On the SEO card, select Optimize SEO or Retry SEO.
  4. Atoms switches to Team Mode if needed and adds @Sarah optimize SEO to the Chat message box.
  5. Add any specific requirements, review the message, and send it to start the task. Selecting the shortcut alone does not start Sarah.

After Sarah finishes, the card changes to Open Dashboard. The screenshot below shows this completed state. Select it to view SEO reporting; it does not start another Sarah task.

Open the SEO card from Marketing

Open the SEO card from Marketing

Use Team Mode → @Sarah when you want Sarah to perform more SEO work.

Sarah is available only in supported web projects. To confirm that your project is eligible, switch to Team Mode and open Group Members; Sarah should appear with the role SEO Specialist. If she is not listed, start with a supported shadcn/ui web-project template or contact Atoms Support.

Alternative: start from Chat

  1. Open the project you want to improve.
  2. In the bottom-left corner of the Chat panel, select + and turn on Team Mode.
  3. Type @ and, under Group Members, select Sarah. Her role is SEO Specialist.
  4. Describe the SEO work you want Sarah to complete using the guidance below.
  5. Review your message, then send it to start the task.

While Sarah is working, use the Chat conversation to follow the task and respond to any request from Sarah. The SEO card in Overview may show Optimizing SEO while the task is running or Retry SEO if it fails.

Write a clear SEO request

Sarah scans the website before proposing a plan, but a clear brief prevents the Agent from guessing. Include the information below.

Include the essentials

What to include

What to tell Sarah

Product goal

Explain what the website offers and what the new pages should help people do.

Audience

Describe who should find the pages and what they are trying to solve.

Country or region and language

State where the audience is and which language Sarah should use.

Topics

List the products, questions, or search topics to cover.

Number of pages

State how many pages you want. A small first group is easier to review.

Add useful details when needed

Optional detail

What to tell Sarah

Pages to link to

Name existing pages that the new content should link to, such as product, pricing, or sign-up pages.

Facts and limits

List facts that must remain accurate and any claims, wording, competitors, or topics to avoid.

Live domain

If it is already known, include the custom domain the published pages will use.

You do not need to explain how the website should be coded. Focus on the people, topics, facts, and result you want.

Review and approve the content plan

Sarah first scans the project and researches the topic. She then presents a selectable list of proposed page titles before writing the pages.

  1. Review every proposed title and selected checkbox. Clear any page you do not want Sarah to create.
  2. To revise the plan, select Edit Plans, describe the change, then select Update Plan.
  3. When the selected pages are correct, select Approve. Approval starts generation and uses credits.

If you need more information before approving, ask Sarah in Chat to show the planned page address, topic, or outline.

Review Sarah’s generation summary

After approval, Sarah creates the selected pages and supporting images. When the task finishes, use her final summary to confirm what was completed.

  1. Compare the number of requested, completed, and failed pages.
  2. Check whether any page or image is marked as failed.
  3. Ask Sarah to regenerate each failed page or image before continuing.

This summary confirms only that Sarah finished creating the content. Continue when every selected page is marked complete.

Integrated

Chat shows that Alex has finished, and the pages open correctly in the App Viewer.

Published

The pages open at their live website addresses.

Reporting

Google Search Console begins showing data. This can take several days after publishing.

Preview the pages in the App Viewer

After Sarah finishes, Team Mode automatically passes the pages to Alex. You do not need to send Alex a separate request. Wait for Alex’s completion message before checking the App Viewer.

If you use a custom domain, ask Chat to check that the new pages and sitemap use that domain instead of an old or placeholder address.

When Chat shows that Alex has finished the integration:

  1. Open the website in the App Viewer.
  2. Open the main content or blog page, then check every new page created by Sarah.
  3. Review the product accuracy, descriptions, headings, navigation, links, calls to action, language, tone, layout, and images.
  4. Test the pages on both desktop and smaller screen sizes.
  5. If you find a missing page, broken link, incorrect language, design issue, or wrong domain, describe the problem in Chat and ask the team to correct it before publishing.

Publish the updated version

Only published pages can appear in search results. After reviewing the pages in the App Viewer, publish the updated project or update the live version.

  1. Open Publish.
  2. Confirm that Alex’s latest build has finished before continuing.
  3. Select Publish for a first release or Update for an existing live site, then wait for the operation to finish.
  4. Open the live content or blog page and every newly published page.
  5. Confirm that each page loads, uses the correct language, and shows the expected content and images.

Optional sitemap check: A sitemap is a list of page addresses that helps search engines discover your site. Open https://your-domain.com/sitemap.xml and check that it lists the new pages and uses your real domain. If it is missing or incorrect, describe the problem in Chat, then publish the corrected build. For the complete workflow, see Publish.

Optional: measure SEO results

You can stop after publishing. To see how people find the site through Google Search, connect Google Search Console. Google Analytics 4 is separate and shows what visitors do on the site. Neither connection is required to use Sarah.

Follow the setup steps in Connect Google Search Console. The rest of this page explains the optional Search Console dashboard and indexing checks.

Understand the Search Console dashboard

After connecting Google Search Console, use the SEO dashboard in Marketing to review data for your custom domain.

Dashboard area

What it shows

Performance

Clicks, impressions, average click-through rate (the percentage of impressions that became clicks), average search position, and breakdowns by query, page, country, and device.

Operations

Sitemap details and page rows returned from recent Search Console data. The labels Total Indexed Pages and Indexed Pages do not show a complete list of every page Google has indexed. Atoms displays sitemap information but does not submit the sitemap for you.

URL Inspection

For a page listed in Operations, review its index status, last crawl, page-fetch result, and the main page address Google recognizes.

Page Speed

Open a loading and performance report for a page listed in Operations.

New pages may not appear immediately because Search Console needs time to collect data. A missing page does not necessarily mean Google has not indexed it.

Optional: check indexing in Google Search Console

Use this check for important pages after publishing. You do not need it to create pages with Sarah.

  1. In Google Search Console, open URL Inspection and enter the full page address.
  2. Review the result to see whether Google can access the page and whether it is indexed.
  3. If the page is live but not indexed, select Test Live URL. If the test succeeds, request indexing when appropriate.
  4. If you published many pages, submit the sitemap once instead of requesting indexing for each page.

If a page later appears under Operations in Atoms, you can also use URL Inspection and Page Speed from there.

Search Console data can take several days to appear, and indexing may take longer. Publishing a page or requesting indexing does not guarantee rankings or traffic.
