Stripe Connect is the payment engine integrated into Atoms Backend.
With a single setup flow, you can sell products, run subscriptions, accept card payments, and track payment status—without maintaining your own payment infrastructure.
What is Stripe Connect
Think of Stripe Connect as the bridge between your Atoms app and the global payment network.
For Developers
No need to handle PCI compliance or banking integrations
No server-side payment code required
Simple API and dashboard controls
For Businesses
One-time purchases and recurring subscriptions
Built-in invoicing, refunds, receipts
Full visibility into transactions and payout status
When to Use Stripe Connect
Stripe Connect is recommended for apps that need a built-in payment method, including:
SaaS subscriptions (monthly, yearly plans)
Digital goods (courses, templates, asset packs)
Paid communities (gated content, membership access)
E-commerce (shopping carts, checkout pages)
If your business model includes any paid flow, Stripe Connect is the fastest way to launch.
How to use Stripe Connect?
Important
Stripe Connect requires Atoms Backend. Backend mode must be enabled when creating your project. It cannot be enabled later for existing projects.
You can connect to Stripe in three ways.
Method 1: During Project Creation (Recommended)
Click New Project in Workspace.
Toggle Atoms Backend to ON.
In the left sidebar, click +.
Select Connect Stripe Account.
If you don’t have a Stripe account yet, follow the steps in Create a Stripe Account.
Method 2: From the Integrations Panel
For existing Backend projects:
Open your project’s Chat view.
Click Integrations in the top-right corner.
Find Stripe, then click Connect.
Method 3: Ask the Agent
You can also trigger the setup through natural language:
In Chat, tell the agent: “I want to add payments” or “I want to sell a product.”
The agent will surface a Connect Stripe button.
Click to confirm and follow the guided steps.

After connecting Stripe, manage your products directly in Atoms.
